  reading idly through this magazine , i read the study article "rejoicing in our hope" which discusses the two "hopes" according to the wtbts ie heaven & earth.. a couple of points were of interest:.

  (1) absolutely no mention at all of the 144,000 or rev 14. usually an article like this would be filled with references , but it isn't even mentioned.

  it does discuss the "limited number" , but only in contrast with the "no man can number" great crowd.. (2) a much more laid back attitude towards the two hopes.

  Telephone Hookup if You Can't be Physically Present at the KH

  i keep coming upon references dealing with a phone hookup if you must miss a kh meeting.

  in my day, if you missed, you missed and celebrated the fact.

  what is the procedure for the hookup?

  They worry about people who are not physically present when so many are mentally absent the KH is filled with empty shells sitting in the chairs repeating back lines from the magazine.

  so can we get a directory going of who wrote various kingdom melodies songs?

  i know frank kavelin (who has happily since left the cult) had a hand in writing "make the truth your own," and "make sure of the more important things.

  " but who were some of the writers that penned the rest of the tunes?.

  i'm still inside because of family, friends... all my life is there.

  i used to have doubts (one year ago) but now i only have certainties about the org.

  another reason for staying, at least for now, is i'm living at home with my jw mother and she allowed me to go to college.. i seem to everyone in the congregation a normal witness but when i sit down in the meetings i do know 99% what i listen to is just the same failed prophecies and doctrines repeated always in the same way.. i'm now being "persuaded" to accept my appointed as a ms. though i'm not doing nothing special to get it, i'm serving in a foreign language territory simply because i couldn't hold on with the pressure of my family and elders from my congregation.
